a quick hello

I don't blog much anymore. I'm sure many of you very faithful readers (aka, the family) are just missing us terribly, right? :) I mostly live through Instagram these days as mentioned before. What did I do before my trusty iphone? oh that's right, went to sleep after getting up with D. :) I'm working to get better about that...I really don't need to sleep with my phone under my pillow.

These girls are keeping me entertained. It's been raining for days and windy too. We are feeling cooped up, but luckily we've been able to get out at least once a day.

How sweet are these faces? Zuri is obsessed with baths again. She takes maybe 2 a day.

Last Saturday we went for a canoe ride with Zuri to watch the planes land at the airport. It was really fun.
This is one of my go-to (free) places on rainy days. It's the mall play place, but it's the best I've ever seen. Padded everything, Zuri loves this frog.
Weston and Zuri have become good little buddies. They are so funny together.

It's "bench" Zuri bug.

Our bench can get a little wobbly at times. And those wobbly times Zuri usually takes a tumble. This one happened today, she hit her chin so hard on the counter she must have bit her tongue cause there was some blood involved. She cried for a minute and then started this monologue up. I couldn't stop laughing.

long long ago

These little photos seem long ago for me anyway. I feel like these little tikes are growing up all too fast. D is going to be six months next week. She is dying to crawl, she does great 360's on the floor though. And Zuri, wow that kid is chatting up a storm and loves to sing songs like Pop Corn Popping on the Apricot tree. But instead of 'pop corn' it's "craup craup crauping!!!..... TREE!!!" I seriously die laughing every time it's so funny.

These pictures were taken at the Children's Museum in Portland at Zuri's cousin, Jacobs, birthday party. (in January...is is seriously March already?) She had a blast.

Sometimes it gets really quite in my house. It's amazing after two little screamers refuse to sleep. Chris and I will go check on them later and make sure they're warm and cozy in their little baby beds and we laugh at the latest position Zuri has wiggled her way into with her piles of blankets and stuffed animals all around her.

I just can't believe sometimes I have kids. It's incredible, and exhausting sometimes, but mostly just incredible. They are happy, tough little munchkins. They are my happy place.

Here and there.

First off, I'm loving the show Downton Abbey. Oh man, that's some good stuff. Thanks for those who recommended it to me. I feel like my mind thinks in a British accent after I watch it.

It's funny, there are a few things I've been thinking a lot of lately that our cousin, Ashley, posted just the other day. Such as:

Instagram. It's so great. I feel all fancy and artsy for not needing to be artsy about it at all.

Second, the news. I can't watch/listen to it at all. I never really was a fan of it. I know it's important to know what's going on in the local community and the world, but all these terrible stories about how evil people are, to kids especially, just makes me furious and I hate people for it. I'm serious. I get full of disgust and anger followed by a large desire to just cry. I just don't need that in my mind.

Off that topic.

Then we have this little guy. We had to shave him last week due to his ability to get fleas so dang easy. He's better now just constantly cold and burrowing into blankets.

Dot got her first tooth the other day. She's scooting in 180's. I had been waiting to get her ears pierced until she could sit up pretty good. Which means she got them pierced last night. She was not happy with me. She's much better this morning and looks like a little lady.

A little Christmas cheer. She wasn't as into the Belle doll as I thought she'd be. That's alright cause she got a good amount of toys from family on her birthday. These slippers were a nice hit though. She wore them around the house yesterday paired with just her pull up. Very humorous.
