Oregon!

Chris and Dad made it back to our new home last night. The Mack did great, and the Mack Dog (Kelso) did great as well. He's much happier to be off the road. And I must admit it is wonderful to have Chris back. Sleeping in a bed without the husband and dog was kind of weird. Zuri wouldn't stop talking when she saw Chris, we suppose she was telling him all about her adventures she has had so far while we were without him. Here is what we have discovered the past could days:

.We found our bank, and Target....and then a Cold Stone.
.The grandest mall I've ever been in. Zuri had a melt down (I still don't know why) but once I finally found the car she was just fine.
.We then found an even better Target where Zuri did not melt down so she got a Pillow Pet for her good behavior. Of course she did not need another stuffed animal or another toy for that matter, but she was just so happy when she hugged it in the cart I just turned into a complete sucker....
.We then found a Quiznos to have an early dinner at.
And today we are off with Hailey and the little girls (five including Zur) to discover a new library! Cause really, what's a childhood without a library?

Basically we have found everything that I have been living far away from in Virginia (minus a library) Here's what I'm loving so far about our new location:

.The weather. It's been in the 60's-70's and beautiful.
.It's green everywhere of course, but there is a lot of color with beautiful huge flowers. Lots of pinks and purples everywhere. I love it!
.Lots of farm land around. Just wonderful hills of green.
.Driving in cities. I feel like I was loosing whatever skill I had of driving living in a small town where people lolly-gag in their cars. I began to lolly-gag and I do.not.like. when I lolly.
.Obviously the many stores (there's an H&M here and thanks to Brinn, I'm hooked) and entertainment around. That's splendid.
.Having family around to ask questions about the area. They've been awesome on sharing info and mom sharing her car so I can go off and about on my own.
.Few bugs. I've gotten one mosquito bite, but it didn't itch bad at all and that's amazing.
.The vast room for Zuri to play. We went to Hailey's for dinner last night and Zur learned how to jump on the tramp with the girls, pet Dutch the steer, and roll in the dirt like a real kid.

Chris is already beginning his work on the BMW that has been waiting patiently on the farm for his return.

While Chris was on the road we were using up too many of our limited texts. So I started using Photo booth to send stuff to Chris. Since we didn't have Zuri's little basin she got to be all adult on us in the tub.
