The most wonderful time!

Chris, me and Kelso had a great adventure up to Windsor Vermont to visit Chris' sister, Chelle and her family for Christmas. We were lucky enough to have dad's new snazzy FJ to cruise up in, which I felt much safer in since it didn't have bald tires like our poor little truck. Chris has bonded with "the cheese block", and I think he hopes one day I'll say it looks freaking awesome and that we should get one. It is a fun car though and it has a sweet sound system...Always an admired feature. Good pickins Rich.

It snowed the first two days we were there...Which was awesome, except the small fact that this meant Chris and Brig were off plowing for those two days. I'm surprised they came home happy, but I think Chris loved being out there working and helping. Aunt Chris...(sister -in-law of Chelle) I stole many of your pictures since I haven't gotten any of ours on the computer yet.. So these are not my skills in the photos :) I also hope it's alright for us to use them!

We had a great Christmas, playing Rockband with the extended family. Chelle and her mother-in-law made the three kids matching pajamas, the turtle was designed by none other then Brig himself. They all looked super cute.

we were lucky enough to be able to take Kelso with us, the kids loved him at first...But Kelso proved to be a little more fond of Anders then we would have liked him to be :)

Windsor has some super cute shops and we had a good time looking around. Our favorite is The Merc of course, Chris got me a bunch of cute kitchen items for Christmas. The store is owned by Chelle's brother in-law (they got some serious connections in that town:)) I thought this was an awesome advertisement. They also have a rad diaper bag at The Merc....So if anyone ever plans to get us one as a gift....? Just throwing it out there...You can take it, or send it right back. :)

Besides all the Christmas excitement, Chris and I have decided that we love winter for these very logical reasons:

  • We can cuddle even more then normal, strictly for warmth purposes of course :)
  • One of our favorites, we don't have school in the mornings or homework at night, we've decided that for now we love the real world much better then the student world. We have work just enough to keep us busy and the rest of the day is just nice and relaxing
  • Even though pregnancy has proven to keep me continually sick in some way or another, Chris has been taking care of me, and has made me feel all nice and spoiled. Also going along with the wonderful no school, I have all morning to rest up and get ready to work instead of a crazy hour break before work. It's simply glorious.
  • One of my favorites is I get to wear sweaters and scarves.
  • and luckily our truck has a heater which is so much more sweet then the summer without a/c.
(Yes, such deep reasons aren't they?)

We will try to get more of our pictures up soon. We hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and we hope to see the West Coast family soon!

Thanks Chris and Mike for the Pictures! Here's the link to all of their awesome pictures! They got skillz.

request for more...

Caitlin informed Chris and I that we need to get more posts a movin' on our blog. Which is actually perfect timing because I'm in the prime mood of not wanting to study for finals or do anything of the homework sort.

I recently learned today that our baby now has a beating heart, although it won't be in a good rhythm for a few more weeks. it also looks like a growth instead of a child (as you can see on the animated baby:) not like that's all that accurate anyways, but still). But I promise it will come out looking like a wrinkly baby, not a tad-pol.

I have been wondering if I should do baby register stuff too... I don't know it it's like when you send out High School graduation announcements just to milk money out of people, or if it's totally normal and acceptable. I don't think I'd send out announcements saying "hey buy stuff for us cause we're not all that rich," but I figure if people feel the desire to buy things for us and our little furling they can have the opportunity to purchase something they know we'll most likely want right? Does anyone else have any other thoughts on this? Actually come to think about it, I'm pretty sure that no one, save the parents, will buy us much just cause baby crap is seriously so expensive! So...I guess I just solved that problem with my wonderful mind and it's thought process :) Still suggestions are always welcome in this strange new world we've embarked upon.

Another exciting note:

We got a real Christmas tree for our basement. we tried to keep it on the inexpensive side, but it still looks pretty and smells deliciously holiday like. I'll try to put some pictures of it up soon. Chris was pretty proud of getting a tree and Kelso can't seem to stop eating it. Yup...it's his new favorite snack.

"That ain't no etch-a-sketch, you're ego is prego"

We're pretty sure that everyone knows already, but in case someone hasn't heard, we are defiantly pregnant. Well...I'm pregnant, but Chris played an important roll in getting me that way:)

Chris wanted to make sure that I really really was since the first two tests turned up a bit dim, so I took one more to prove it and that came out perfectly clear. So here we are, almost six weeks along and I haven't been too sick for the past week, thank goodness. Everyone on the Hardy side seems to be banking on a girl, I'm not sure what the Vial side believes...I guess we'll see in March!

So yay! More babies! We'd just like to say thank you to all those who believed in us, my mom who begged us to get working on grandchildren right after we got married, but most of all we'd like to thank the little fetus who decided with the Lord that now would be a good time to come along. haha ooo and I blame the hormones for making me a little more crazy.

And no, we have no idea how we're going to take care of the thing :)

No big news from the Virginia crew. No baby yet, but that doesn't mean we're not trying. Kenni's doing a sports theme for her semester long photo assignment, so that's why we're putting a bunch of football pictures on. The little boy was pretty funny. He was staring at Matt Grawrock for at least five minutes, mouth wide open the whole time.

We also were ask to do Senior pictures for Kenni's, Sister's, Husband's, little sister Cassie. It was really fun for us to do together. We went the Washington & Lee campus over in Lexington. Kenni's sister, Cami, took some pictures of us trying to figure out how to use the camera.

Saturday

It was a pretty fun day. Kenni went to work this morning so I spent the morning working on house. It's been pretty busy this semester so it was good to catch up a bit. We went to the football game one of the few won this year by our team, and then tracked down Kelso who was chasing the neighborhood squirrels up trees. Life is pretty slow out here, but we're not complaining

It's Chris again, Mom seemed a little disappointed at the amount of photos we put up to represent our trip to Italy. So here are a few more. Some bikes, some kids, and a bunch of other random stuff. this first one is Kenni and our friend Chelsea, she was pretty hilarious. So enjoy and each print is a thousand $.

Home alone with the dog

Well I'm not usually the one who does the blog stuff but since Kenni had to take off for a few days I'm doing whatever I can to forget about how lonely I am. These were all taken with the Fujifilm camera Dad scored at some NY swap meet. Funny how nothing about that last sentance seems off. You never can keep track of Mom and Dad, trust me I try. So we're still trying to figure out the options on the camera but it's been fun to play with, and hopefully Kenni will be able to make good use of it in her photo class.
